Little Fish

I almost titled this post "Water babies" but since I need to grasp the fact that they're most definitely NOT babies I will just say they are little fish. There is no fear, no whining and no complaints from these two about swimming. We started up private lessons again and this time our friend Mayci is joining us. Her birthday is a week away from theirs so it's a bit like triplets. Just not, because there is no fighting when there is no blood relation. Interesting how that works.

They could hardly contain themselves as they had to sit 10 minutes and wait for Miss Jessica to finish up with the kids before them.

They all warmed up very quickly and follow directions like champs.

Take turns patiently.

And of course with three 3 year olds there is constant smiling, screaming (happy screaming to clarify) and giggling.

We are so glad we met Mayci and her family. Her mom and little brother Max fit in nicely with our bunch and they just live down the street. I love this picture of the three of them. Each face sums up each kid... perfectly.

The Vernal Rec Center is a good 30 minutes away so we scheduled the lessons for the hour before the pool opens for open swim. So for the hour they have it to themselves and then us moms get in and we stay till the kids are done. This last time we were there from 12:30 to 4:30 and even then I had to tell them it was closing to get them out of there. It's a blast!

Summer happenings

Between the long winter we had this year and the extra windy spring we've had this little family couldn't be happier to see the temps rise. Khloee walks outside everyday beaming and says "It not windy no more mommy." We have practically been living outside.

I got this sprinkler out and Koop said "Have I played with this before mommy?" I didn't even answer and Khloee chimed in "Yes, Booper when we were babies at our old house." It AMAZES me what these little minds remember. She absolutely right!

They have both been expressing constantly how they want a "bigger" pool (all we have is the tiny baby one) in the backyard. I told them if they didn't whine for 2 days we would go get one. At this rate the 2 days starts over every 20 minutes and we'll never get one. OH.THE.WHINING. Just a phase I'm sure BUT one can hope it will pass us by quickly.

We've had a few play dates with our friend Trae. He and Koop are sure growing up and playing so well together and Khloee just kind of dances and sings around them.

Trae got a pirate pool for his birthday we had to go try out. They all had so much fun nobody would even look up for a picture.

We also went to the city pool with some friends this week. It was our first time in a big pool since last year and they did really well. They stayed in the little kid part and just lounged around giggling and talking. We start more private swim lessons tomorrow so I'm sure our pool trips will just get better and better.

At one point I had to remove little miss for a snack break. This girl could seriously go all day long without asking to eat.

It's been a very busy and fun filled first week of summer for us. I can tell it will be full of water, sun and hopefully we'll soon be able to report that we own a new pool! Crossing my fingers!

Will you wedding me?

We went to our niece Mikalyn's wedding a couple weekends ago. While I don't have any pictures of the beautiful bride and groom of course I snapped a few of my little family. They talked about going to Mikey's wedding, wearing Khloee's new dress and Koop loves to throw a tie on.

Kids weren't really invited to the wedding except the little immediate cousins. It was hard to not be wild and crazy in Aunt Teri's backyard like we usually are but they did pretty good. During the ceremony Koop mentioned he needed to pee and said Aunt Teri's grass was right there. Never a dull moment I tell ya!

Considering it was a fancy catered meal afterwards I do have to say they did quite well. Even ate their dinner. After that my mom came and got them so Rand and I could visit and dance the night away.

Mikalyn got all the little girls these flower crowns and they all looked so cute!

My silly little man.

Since the wedding Khloee will disappear downstairs and reappear with her crown and a random dress to put on. Then she goes to my closet to get "her heels" and finds Kooper saying "Booper, you wedding me now"? He of course does what he's asked for a few and we have a little ceremony. This girl just prances around in a fantasy dream world and loves when her brother takes time to go along with it. So cute!

Unicorns and TMI

I wanted to quickly get down a couple conversations that have went down over here recently.

Kooper had a bit of a quick stomach bug. Khloee was at the counter painting and she says "I paint Booper a tiger to make him feel better but I like unicorns. You like unicorns mommy?" "Yes, I think they're cool" I say. "Well they make me so happy" she says. We haven't spoke much of unicorns ever before but it's clear they will be a hot topic around here in the near future.

This ones a bit TMI but I guess as the mom I think it's cute. Kooper came upstairs at about 5am and said "Mommy, I burped all over my pillow." I said "You threw up on your pillow." "No mommy, I burped all over my pillow, the carpet and the stairs too." He did indeed have a quick stomach something or other and refers to throwing up as "burping everywhere!"

Cheers to being a mommy and getting to discuss the happiness of unicorns and the grossness of burping everywhere all within 30 seconds of the other!

Not just any lunch

Today the kiddos and I went to Grandma Anne's work and went to the cafeteria for some lunch with her. The duo chatted up all the office staff for a good 20 minutes and they realized that this Grandma isn't just biased about her grandkids... they ARE that dang cute!

It was kind of like I wasn't there really. They both had to have a hand and see what this was all about.

They were so well behaved. Chatting with Grandma about everything from going to a wedding tomorrow, big beds, Disneyland, who hit who two days ago and so so much more! They even had to have Grandma take them to the restroom room, not mom. I think Anne and I said two words to each other because their mouths never stopped moving.

We strolled the halls and checked out the fish tank. Then Khloee spotted the gift shop and insisted on checking it out. You can only guess that Grandma wouldn't let them out of there empty handed. Spoiled!

It was a simple and special afternoon. I can't even figure out which of the three of them was more tickled about it.

EVERY.SINGLE.DAY

This conversation has happened every single day and often times several times a day since we got back from Disneyland.

Khloee... "Daddy we go to Disneyland now."
(I must add, the punctuation is correct, it's a statement not a question)

Daddy... "Not today Khlo, in two years."

Khloee... "Otay daddy." As she skips away singing of princess's and ticking the time away as to when she will ask the same question again.

I kind of wonder what two years exactly looks like to a 3 year old. With this kind of repetition with the questions it's going to be the longest two years of her life.

I also wonder why the hell Randy gets so much credit for this trip. She talks to me about it but doesn't actually as if we can go now. That question is just for her daddy. Interesting.

P.S. Kooper also talks and asks about it about 1/2 as much as she does.

Memorial Weekend

Last week was a crazy one so I kind of figured we would lay low over the weekend and just hang with the kids. We were eating dinner Friday night and Randy was texting some friends. At 7pm we decided to load up and go camping. No cooking for days and planning just threw things in, hooked up and were headed to White Rocks Canyon by 8 o'clock.

We're a pretty crazy bunch ya know. I've never been there and it was really close to home so we figured we couldn't lose. Plus no phone service which was just what we needed. The duo fell asleep and were out of control excited about sleeping in sleeping bags so they went right to bed.

First thing we had to go explore and the duo were excited mom threw the Strider bikes in last minute.

We get a lot of stares when we're out and about on these bikes. It amazes people and I'm sure the cutest kids ever riding them doesn't help ;)

Randy and I enjoyed our coffee while following them around and listening to their imaginations go crazy.

So glad we decided to be spontaneous. It was so beautiful up there and rather quiet for Memorial weekend which again was just what we needed.

Even camping the princess can't go without some art work for more than a day. We rounded up some markers and paper plates and she was in heaven for hours. Literally hours.

My favorite boy being silly with mom!

It seems I get a ton more snuggle time when we camp. They run themselves ragged and then randomly just climb up in my lap and crash. I was lucky enough this trip they did it at different times. So I literally spent hours sitting in a chair with one of my babes in my arms. HEAVEN!

At Easter our friend Lori surprised the duo with these pin wheel flowers and we left them in the trailer after that trip. Turns out they are quite the entertainment.

Cutest thing ever.

Enjoying some hiking and fishing.

The kids did SO well with the camp fire. We went over the rules and they didn't get out of line once. They were as patient as could possibly be expected waiting for their smores.

Mmmmm!

Even though it seems I take a ton of picture of my kids and nothing else we did actually camp with some friends. Stoney and Cassie are amazing and so fun with the duo. Stoney actually better watch it because Koop is sneakin in on Cassie. He loves her!

Did I mention they're pretty normal friends too?!?

While we were out hiking we found this old beaver caucus and of course Stoney had to make the kids giggle and be a weirdo. Then today when I got home and started laundry I found a couple beaver teeth out of a certain little boys britches.

My favorite was probably after the sun goes down, the fire gets lit and the goof's come out. It seems it makes for some silly kids and lots of laughs. I'm so glad we decided to go!
